... A Philosophy
Connecting with a place is fundamental to caring for it!
On the Majestic Liverpool Plains...
So what should this place mean to everyday Australians?
Three years of research working with environmental scientists, farmers, and local community led to Dr Robbie van Hemert's compassionate response, which she delivered to an emotional audience at the opening of her Sydney Exhibition

Response
Given that this one place feeds so many
And that food is essential to our survival
We need this place...
We should value our intimate connection with this food bowl
We should be humbled by her generosity!
We should be willing to take responsibility for her care
She should be part of the legacy we leave our children
For this Great Mother Food Bowl just gives and gives and gives to the benefit of us all!
And on that note and in appreciation of her bounty and her being, I would like to propose a toast to celebrate the
Majesty of our collective Food Plain
Long May She Reign!
Four years ago Robbie van Hemert was introduced to our community as an artist of great ability. As time as passed her skills have proved not just exceptional but she has emerged a visionary. She saw our Liverpool Plains Region not through our eyes but through the eyes of a botanist, a geographer, and an artistic historian. Her prediction and endeavour have produced a massive work of minute detail and sweeping grandeur. A testament to her exceptional skills and her choice of an amazing subject: the production and majesty of the Liverpool Plains of NSW.
The record of an icon.
