This card is a reproduction of an original mixed-media colour study of early morning sun backlighting a copse of trees on a property in the Liverpool Plains Region of NSW. The sideways light highlights the beauty of the vast Liverpool Plains country of NSW.

This region, just 5 hours north-west of Sydney, is NSW’s prime broadacre food producing region, currently under threat of coal and gas mining.

The Food River Station cards complement the ambitious Liverpool Plains Land Biography 2012-2015. This visual representation of one of Australia's prime food bowls was undertaken by research-artist, Dr Robbie van Hemert to connect you to a prime Australian Food Bowl through Art and Education, because connecting with a place is fundamental to caring for it.

At Food River Station we believe that Food Source Matters and that all Australians share the responsibility for our food bowls with our farmers.
